We are already loading the first citrus from South Africa!

Any other fans of South African oranges around here? This country, the second citrus exporter in the world, after Spain and ahead of Turkey, has already started shipping its production.
76% of the citrus produced by South Africa is exported, with the European Union being the largest importer with 42%.

South Africa Citrus

From Salix, we have witnessed the great increase in lemon and tangerine plantations in South African territory, with our own South African procurement office since 2014, and after meeting some of its main farmers, who have had great success in previous years, we are ready and looking forward to another great Citrus season.

A large part of shipments go to the Middle East and Europe but we are also opening new horizons by shipping the first orange and tangerine pallets to Canada, Asia, and Russia.

And although the COVID-19 pandemic has changed many of our daily routines, luckily it has not changed our seasonal fruit calendar and we continue to guarantee the export and import of these essential products, with completely safe shipments.

And we´d like to highlight the benefits of citrus for health, since they are a source of vitamins and minerals, protect the digestive system and activate the immune system, in addition to helping fight flu and colds due to its high concentration of Vitamin C.
