A very promising Egyptian grape season begins

At the same time Ramadan ended, we started with the first shipments of grapes from Egypt to the rest of the world. Unlike last year when the start of the season was delayed, this 2021 the kickoff was just in time and it is already promising since it will probably last until the end of July.

Early Sweet, Sugraone, Flame, Crimson Seedless, and Red Globe are some of the Egyptian varieties that we sell at Salix Fruits and ship not only to Europe but also to the Far East and West Africa.

The most popular varieties in the EU market are seedless grapes, but Egyptian growers make a huge effort every year to expand and improve their varieties and supply more and more markets.

In 2020 most of our shipments went to the UK, the Netherlands, Poland, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Cameroon, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, and Guinea.
