Salix Fruits at Asia Fruit Logistica: “It was great to be back”"

The leading company in the import and export of fresh fruits took part in the 2022 edition of the Fair that this year returned to its original face-to-face format.

Asia Fruit Logistica 2022 returned to its face-to-face format, after being affected by the restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic. In its 2022 edition, the fair was held from November 2 to 4 in Bangkok, and not in Hong Kong where the event was traditionally held.

“I saw a lot of enthusiasm from all the participants to have the possibility of meeting once again at a fair, which is important for this business. The number of stands has probably been a bit smaller than in recent years when it was held in Hong Kong, but I think this is largely due to fewer Chinese exhibitors present, given their travel restrictions”, explained Javier Orti, Sales Manager for the Asian market of Salix Fruits, the leading company in the import and export of fresh fruits.

Salix Fruits’ team was very satisfied with the visitors' quality; many held meetings during the three days, in addition to receiving many visitors who dropped by.

“It was very important for us to be present again, as we always were, and to get closer to our customers and suppliers”, said Orti and added: “Although we have traveled a lot this year, visiting both markets and suppliers, it is difficult to cover everything in one year after two years of Covid restrictions. It was a very active fair for us, with a large number of meetings until the last minute”.

The company had a considerable expansion since the last edition of Asia Fruit Logistica in Hong Kong: they have opened procurement offices in Chile, India, and Spain since then, strengthening the supply alternatives for their customers.
